Benefits Management
Welcome!
Benefits for Lynn Public Schools employees are provided through the City of Lynn; therefore, benefits administration and enrollment are managed by the City
The health and well-being of our employees and their families is a priority. We are committed to providing access to high-quality healthcare through a comprehensive range of benefit options. With a focus on diversity and quality, we strive to ensure that each employee can select coverage that best meets their needs.
We believe in making the transition seamless for our new hires. As such, there's no waiting period to elect benefits. As soon as you join our team, you're granted a 30-day window to select from our comprehensive range of coverage options, including medical, dental, vision, and additional options, with coverage from the first day of employment.
Your benefits are an important part of your overall compensation. The decisions made within the first 30 days of employment will have a direct impact on health care coverage. retirement security and take-home pay. Employees are encouraged to carefully review the information provided in this guide, so that you can make informed decisions during your first few weeks on the job. By understanding and utilizing available benefits, employees can support their health, financial well-being and peace of mind.
The City of Lynn is self-insured when it comes to our Harvard Pilgrim Administered Health Care plans. Being self-insured means that, rather than paying an insurance company to pay medical claims, we pay the claims ourselves, using a third-party administrator to process the claims on our behalf. Rather than sending funds to an insurance company, the funds stay in our budget and is controlled by the City.
