In Lynn Public Schools, students build digital literacy and computer science skills through a progression of meaningful learning experiences from PreK through Grade 12 and beyond.

Students grow from exploring technology tools to designing solutions, creating digital products, programming, collaborating, and using technology responsibly to solve real-world problems.


PreK–Kindergarten
Technology Explorers: 
Students begin developing foundational digital skills through exploration, creativity, and communication.

Students learn to:

  • Explore technology tools and digital resources
  • Practice responsible technology routines
  • Create and communicate ideas
  • Recognize patterns and sequences
  • Begin developing computational thinking skills

Examples of Learning Experiences:

  • Digital storytelling
  • Creative drawing and design
  • Interactive learning applications
  • Beginning coding exploration

Grades 1–2

Digital Learners & Creators

Students build independence and confidence using technology as a tool for learning and creating.

Students learn to:

  • Navigate digital tools independently
  • Create digital products
  • Develop foundational coding skills
  • Practice digital citizenship
  • Use technology to communicate ideas

  • Coding activities
  • Bee-Bots and Ozobots

Grades 3–5

Digital Creators & Designers: Students apply technology skills to design, create, program, and solve problems.

Students learn to:

  • Program and debug solutions
  • Design digital products
  • Collaborate using technology
  • Use productivity tools
  • Apply computational thinking

Grades 6–8

Digital Problem Solvers & Innovators:  Students expand their understanding of computer science, digital systems, and technology applications.

Students learn to:

  • Develop computational thinking skills
  • Create and analyze digital solutions
  • Explore programming concepts
  • Apply technology across content areas
  • Evaluate information and digital resources

Grades 9–12

Digital Innovators & Leaders: Students apply digital skills to prepare for college, careers, and lifelong learning.

Students learn to:

  • Use advanced digital tools
  • Explore computer science pathways
  • Create authentic solutions
  • Practice ethical technology use
  • Develop skills connected to future opportunities

Beyond High School
Preparing Students for a Digital Future:
