Reading Program 2023 - Secondary Schools
Lynn Public Schools invites our students and families to participate in our Summer Reading 2023 Program. The goal of this initiative is to prevent reading loss while cultivating a shared love of reading. To better develop skills necessary to thrive as 21st century citizens, we ask that our students utilize their LPS devices to access online eBook platforms. If you would like to read from a hard copy, texts are available from the Lynn Public Library.
Grades 6-9 and Fecteau-Leary
All students in grades 6-9 received code Open eBooks in their ELA classes.
- To access Open eBooks, go to the following website:
https://www.openebooks.org/app/signin/method/firstbook
- Enter your First Book Access Code and First Book PIN
- Click “Sign in”
Grades 10-12 (Lynn Classical, Lynn English, Lynn Tech)
- Install the Sora app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or go to soraapp.com
- In Sora, click on "My school is MLS Commonwealth eBook Collection" and then select "Lynn City Schools" from the pull-down menu and then sign in with your school username and password, if prompted
- Browse the “explore” tab and borrow a book. Your book will open so you can start reading right away
- Close the book and go to the “shelf” tab to see all your books. From there, you can:
- Select Open book or Open audiobook to read or listen to the book.
- Select Options to renew or return the book, see your notes and highlights, and more.
