High School Music

• Music Courses & School-Based Ensembles: A wide variety of Music Courses are offered to high school students in Lynn. Well-established courses include: Band Class, Chorus, Concert Choir, Music Theory, and Piano. In the 2024-2025 School Year, we plan to introduce several exciting new music courses, including: Modern Band, Developing Musicianship, Music Exploration, Music Technology, AP Music Theory, and World Music Ensemble.

• All-City High School Ensembles: In addition to the school-based performing ensembles at Lynn English, Classical, and LVTI, the All-City High School Music Ensembles continue our LPS tradition of collaboration and partnership across our schools. Our current lineup includes the All-City Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Orchestra. Students participating in these groups rehearse together at a central location on several afternoons throughout the week, and also continue to receive a weekly lesson on their instrument during the school day. The All-City Ensembles are regularly featured at events throughout the Lynn Community, and work closely with several local organizations.
