Mood Boost Tastings
In each elementary school's cafeteria, we will have a tasting experience for all the students at lunch time. This tasting will include a Harvest of the Month featured fruit or vegetable, with a recipe card to go home with. The goal of Mood Boost is to help students understand the connection between emotional health and fueling your body with nutritious foods. A variety of foods are highlighted with a variety of emotions including; happy, alert, smart, confident, strong, and calm. We can't wait to see your students throughout the year!

Here are at home lessons that coincide with our teachings: Mood Boost

Student Choice
In this program, secondary schools get the opportunity to have a voice in what ends up on the lunch line! Students get to sample meals from a variety of different concepts such as… Flame; flavors that elevate your burger, Bok Choy; Asian flavors inspired by chef Jet Tila, and Made to Melt; cheesy casual comfort cuisine. This event will first occur on October 20th and 21st at English High School. Stay tuned throughout the year for this program or similar at your school!

Harvest of the Month
We would like to highlight the Harvest of the Month initiative created by Massachusetts Farm to School. Seasonable shopping is helpful to the environment and our farmers. Learn more about the program using this link. Mass Farm to School- Harvest of the Month

Look at our menus to see when our Harvest of the Month food is featured in your school!

"Harvest of the Month is a great opportunity to celebrate local abundance, experiment with new foods and recipes, and get some positive recognition for your school district and/or school. The program's goal is to encourage healthy food choices by increasing students' exposure to seasonal foods while also supporting local farmers and building excitement about school meals.'"
